This Salem team is something else, 11-3 now. I don't care what anyone says, Lin is making a legitimate case to be promoted, FedEx with his first high A HR
and still hitting .500.

Anderson's hit was a bloop that I think the left fielder couldn't pick up right away because of the fog. Reddick lined out hard to rf and had a SO -
however he made an ubelievable running catch in center that rivals anything I have seen from ellsbury this year. Never thought he'd catch it

Dent with a HR and 2b tonight. That should bring his OPS to around .725 or so. For a 20yr old SS he could actually wind up having a solid year if he can keep
this up over the next two months.

FedEx threw out another runner. Didn't hear it but announcer mentioned it. Matt Weiters pffft.
Announcer talking about Lin's April, May, June. He's actually been putting up number since May. Amonst the numbers, 34/22 BB/K since May 1st. OBP .396 in May .407 in June. |

After FedEx threw out the runner, Rice (throwing a lot of high heat but also has a breaking pitch that he's throwing on the outside corner for strikes)
struck out 4 batters consecutively then walked the next batter after being ahead 0-2, 1st pitch ball then FedEx to the mound (good to see him taking command)
then another strikeout.

Place struck out on a curveball 'that fooled Place'
Chiang pinch hit single was a chopper over the mound. First pinch hit since April for the Sox. Navarro HR 'ripped' to left field ('line drive shot') third hit, first HR of the year. (ADD: At first announcer wasn't sure if it would clear the fence). Rizzo early count popout Fedex 2-2 strikeout. #'s for Fedex 12/26, 4 doubles 1 HR, 3k's 0BB's 5G 3 as catcher. 3 runners thrown out (one a PO). 1 SB allowed. SalSox 27-2 with the lead after 7. 31-0 with the lead after 8.

Coello 1-2-3 in the 8th. His low ERA is deceptive in that he's allowed runs in 5 consecutive appearances after a white hot season start. (ERA 5 something
in June).
SalSox struck out 1-2-3. It's only the 3rd time they have gone down 1-2-3 in the 6 games of the second half. Impressive to think about. SalSox 16 hits matches a season high. Coello with a 1-2-3 9th but two deep flies. game over 13-4 |

PawSox getting 1 hit and hammered 11-0
Probably reported elsewhere but Otness is in Portland. Reddick and Still with HRs down 9-5 in the 8th Drive up 5-3 after Strickland settled down nicely, allowing 3 in the first, Tejeda with a hit and 2 K's, Middlebrooks still strugling a walk and 2 K's |

lost in all the offense tonight was Yunior Ortega's performance today: 6.0 IP, 3H, 0R, 8/0 K/BB
on the year he is: 29.0 IP, 20H, 25/4 K/BB, and a .182 avg against. He's only 17 so it would seem he's a legit DSL prospect. Does anyone have a scouting report on him or know what he throws? His profile doesn't have any info.
Impact. Dominate.
