Weiland with a clean first. He'll continue to prove he's got things figured out.

I'll look for Lin to be promoted in the near future, and it looks like Federowicz is a big fan of the Carolina League.

More stuff happens, FedEx is now batting .500 and Weiland is dealing. 5-0. Get used to it...

And Kalish is 4 for 5. Re: Lin. Can We officially stop calling for people to get promoted just because they get hot for a month? I'm as big a Lin fan as
there is, but the kid is 20 years old. There is no hurry to get him to AA. Let him continue to gain confidence and then promote him in August if he's still
going strong.

But his OPS is over .800 for the month! .800!

FedEx is sick. And Expo getting his hit on tonight (2-2) for fear of getting passed by FedEx.

Weiland will finish June with a ridiculous ERA, although the k/bb ratio of 20/16 is not great. His command really seems to suffer when he pitches out of the
stretch too, 19 BB in 30 IP with runners on as supposed to 12 BB in 35 IP with no one on.

southernredsoxality wrote:He could (should) be working on his stretch mechanics similar to Bowden last year. He has to be very slow to the plate considering SB ratios compared to the rest of the staff. Last year, during the course of the season, Bowden went from 1.7 to 1.3 to the plate. That's the difference between below average to better than average. |
