Another solid start for Ryan Pressly. Needs alittle work still on the control and to up his K totals.
I'll be there, watching the Sox representation of mid-rotation starters. -TheGoldenGreek33 when discussing Casey Kelly. |

Was at tonight's Pawsox game, and I'll make a Pawsox first-hand observations thread to post what I saw.

I just want to make sure, because it seems like you were trying to make a point that I'm missing.

So is it troublesome that Lavarnway seems incapable of hitting a single ?

I was going to say something about how we all need to wait until Kelly plays teams multiple times, or how he's doing a great impression of Ian Kennedy
right now. However, I just looked at who he's faced so far in CAR and he's played two teams twice (out of 7 starts) and he's improved both times!
I still think we need to be a little patient however.

Is that really a big deal? I was 17 for my entire senior year of HS and turned 18 in July of that year, as was the case with a lot of my friends (not
necessarily July, but in the summer). That's fairly common in NH and Massachusetts, don't know about the rest of the country.

Yeah it's not really a big deal. I think the cutoff between grades is usually the end of August, but that can be pretty flexible if you really want to push or hold back you child. Anyone who is born in July or August or early September will be 17 when they sign. In reality the age difference between two players in the same class, one born in December and on born in August, isn't really that big of a deal. Both players have had the same developmental time as each other, so it's not like Schwindenhammer hasn't had the oppurtunity to play as much as someone like Renfroe just because they were born 8 or 9 months apart. |
