Can someone please tell me why they have SS Navarro batting clean up in Salem ahead of the likes of Rizzo and Exposito?? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Er ...... because he's considered a better hitter? I can understand the questioning about Rizzo a bit, though he's just moved up and Navarro spent last year at A+, albeit Lancaster. Exposito? He's probably a #6 hitter at best in the current Salem lineup, unless/until he gets rolling more than he is now.

Reducing pressure on a player in a new environment. It happens at all levels. See Jason Bay, last season.

Jones, Navarro and Rizzo all walk to load the bases. Fed-X doubles down the third base line to drive in 2. Mailman K's looking to end the inning.

Man, with one stroke of the promotion pen the Sox injected life into the Salem lineup and extracted it from Greenville. Kelly needs to start his SS duties at Greenville to put some excitement back in the lineup.

I hope that's not supposed to be Ryan Westmoreland. Maybe Ryan MorLanWay? We definitely need better nicknames for Will and Ryan than using random consonants from their last names, and I'm talking even when we get it right. WMLB and RWML are just not transparent enough.

I hope not the RS would not take the Nats lightly and aware of what they did to the Blue Jays & Yankees. Just sweep them by play hard & show the Nats why they're best in AL. -MLBDreams

Lavarnway with another double tonight already. Dudes got 55% of his hits for xtra bases this year I can't think of any prospect in the Sox system this decade who had a XBH% close to that over a decent sample size.

Seems like were getting a fair bit more power all around from prospects this year in fact. It's a welcome sign since the days of only a few years ago when we were lucky to get a non-prospect to lead the system with 20 home runs or something.

Speaking of Place, the announcer pointed out that he hasn't homered since 4/21 and I noticed that he only has 2 all year and a sub -.400 SLG avg. I thought that this guy had power. Maybe a nagging injury?

Also Mailman walked 3 times last night and has K'd tonight twice, looking. I know it's just 9 PA's but I wonder if he's going to revert somewhat to last season working more on his pitch recognition now that he's at high A. I'm not saying it's a bad thing if it pays off in the long run.

And yeah, I know. He's been up 9 times.
