Agreed that the defensive secondary problem isn't something that can be fixed in the draft. I think they should take an early-mid round (2-3) pick on one to develop, like they did with Samuel, but they need to make a deal for someone who is a true #1.

I don't think anything needs to be done at RB yet though. While there's no doubt in my mind that Maroney is done in New England, I'm fine with Jordan/Faulk/Morris for another year or two. The NFL is getting away from the star feature back in lieu of the two-headed monster, and I like what the Pats have here, especially if Brady is able to get back to say, 80% of what he was.

I do have major, major questions about Brady though. While it's not like he was a running QB, part of what made him special was his ability to "feel" pressure and avoid it. If his movement is cut down, he gets hit more, the knee flares up, etc. Not saying it WILL happen, but I'm very pessimistic in my expectations for him, especially this coming season.

Finally, as for losing McDaniels and Pioli, weren't we asking something similar when Weis and Crennel left? Not saying that Pioli is quite the same, but while Belichick can't necessarily run the whole operation by himself, he's smart enough to surround himself with the people he does need to be successful, knowing there will be attrition when those people have success.
