It's official: I'm excited about the Josh Reddick era. His plate discipline definitely seems to be improving (6/7 bb/k in August). Maybe A-ball
pitching was simply too easy for him to hit.

It's kind of appropriate that Big Edgar has a chance to pitch Pawtucket into the playoffs, because he's been a steady addition to the rotation the
second half of the season -- he's really helped solidify things. This seems rather strange, because the common assessment was that he reached the limits of
his capabilities, short of the majors, because he never could master a reliable secondary pitch. So how is he getting people out 3 times through the lineup?

This is going to be a tough final week for the GCL. Doubleheaders are now scheduled for the 24th, 26th, and 27th. That's 7 games over the final 4 days of
the season.

That's not as big a deal for the GCL, since they will be able to cycle players in and out of their 25-man on a per game basis. It's actually a good
thing considering the amount of bodies down there.
