A small percentage of the members of the SoxProspects.com community have "restrictions" placed on the number of posts they can make on a daily basis and whether they can start new threads on the main board. As membership applications are granted freely here (unlike some other Red Sox boards), and because there are no automatic restrictions on new members (also unlike some other Sox boards), this is the only means we have of maintaining high-level discussion.
Restrictions are not permanent. If you have a restriction and you want it removed, please don't just immediately PM a staff member and demand it be removed. Just try to raise the level of your posting, whether that means: (1) making more substantive contributions, (2) making sure the information and comments you post are accurate, (3) avoiding nonsense posts that take away from the substance of the discussion; (4) steering clear of rapid-fire posting in every single thread; and/or (5) following the ground rules. After you've done that, feel free to PM me and we can talk about removing the restrictions. Also, please note that we get a lot of complaints about members that start new threads on the main board asking questions about information that can easily be found on the site. Just try to do two minutes of research before you start a new thread.
As always, thanks to everybody for posting.
-Mike
