Pauley with a scoreless 1st: BB, 1/2 GO/FO

Kottaras and Lowrie with back-to-back doubles, then Moss singles in Lowrie, 2-0 PawSox after 1.

Let's not forget that the Bruins are in the playoffs for the 1st time in what feels like a century.

I would recommend if you can check Hagadone out to do that though. For those who will be watching, I'll be interested in hearing about the progression of his change-up.

PawSox -

Kottaras and Lowrie doubled, followed by a two-out Moss single. 2-0, mid 2nd

Van Every homered in the 5th (his 3rd), scoring Brown who singled.

Pauley is out after 4.1IP, 5H (HR), 1R, 1/2 K/BB. Holdzkom finished out the 5th, loaded the bases in the 6th but got out of it unscathed. PawSox lead 4-1, mid 6th.

Top 9th, now 5-2. Kolb cannot close it out. Switzer coming in to face a lefty with two out and two on. Switzer gets the K after a 10+ pitch AB. PawSox win 5-2.

Lowrie playing third. 2 strikeouts tonight, which brings his total to 10 in just 26 AB. He does have 7 walks, though and 3 of his 5 hits have been of the XBH persuasion.

I'm looking at some early season EL stats and I'm having trouble interpreting them so I'm looking for some help.

Firstinning.com says that Justin Masterson is 1st in BB%, 1st in GB%, and 3rd in K%. Should I be happy or sad?

Apparently, he's first in FIP, too. I'm pretty sure that means Fairly Impressive Pitching, so I think that's good.
