The only criteria: to be a prospect, you cannot have exhausted your rookie eligibility, and you cannot be age 26 or over. Please do not exclude or include players based on your own eligibility standards! I would just like to keep everyone consistant; if some people include one player and others don't it will screw up the voting. Pimental I'm sure some will be upset by Bowden at 8, but I still think his future is as a set-up man, a pretty good one, but still a set-up man. About Anderson, his numbers were crazy fluky, I dont doubt he will eventually hit really well, but I wasn't too impressed with his debut to tell you the truth to put him ahead of a guy with hagadone's stuff and Kalish's incredible tools and his seeming ability to already be tapping into them in game situations. Edit: You won me over TNS... actually no you're argument didn't, but got to thinking and I looked at Bates' LD% (16.1) and his BABIP (375) and his heavy reliance on RF in Lancaster and I think its pretty clear as day that he was an unabashed fluke. Chih-Hsien Chiang I tried to combine a balance of tools to achievements and placed higher emphasis on the more difficult positions for position players and the potential that a pitcher has at becoming a starter. That's why I put Bowden ahead of Masterson because I don't see Masterson sticking in the rotation (at least not for the sox) while I do see Bowden becoming a solid #3 maybe borderline #2. That's also why Wagner is so high. Edit: very annoying to read the first time i did it, so i changed the lineup Edit #2: damn, fell into the Dusty Brown category. My solution is to bump everybody behind him up one spot and to add Mike Jones in at #40 on the hopes that maybe he'll hit a baseball a time or two this year for some of that projected distance. Veteran Member Posts: 743 03/08/08 9:26 AM	Hard to believe that most seem to think Chris Carter is not worthy top-10 worthy. In a top farm system he reached AAA in 3 years. He now has had 2 years in the PCL, and batted over .300 each year (career .909 OPS in the minors). Defensively challenged? Sure, but when you talk about prospects w/ high floors you have to look at Carter.

I expect big things from Bard this year. He went through the psychological treatment, and if he can learn to control his pitches better - yes, I know that is a heck of a lot to ask - he could be flat-out dominant. It's not like he was getting hit out of the park last year, he just couldn't throw strikes. 55 hits allowed in 62 innings in Greenville. 8 hits in 16.2 innings in Honolulu. I just can't give up on a guy who looks "effortless" throwing in the high 90s, a low 90s 2-seamer, decent high 80s cutter, decent high 70s curve, and a decent circle change. Yes, he has a lot of work to do, if he could get his control together, again a big if, he'd shoot up to the top 10 here easily. He probably still has top 5 potential in the system.
