I really like the Barnes signing for the Magic if it happens. Another piece that will make beating them difficult next year.

Rubio is leaving his current Spanish team. May go to another one if he does not come to the NBA.

Forget what ESPN says...he's going to be playing in the NBA next season.

I can't believe they made a big deal about that.

I was expecting to see a Vince Carter dunk with the guy stepping on Lebron's coconut to get more hangtime. What a big deal out of nothing.

That was a waste of cap space with Odom still on the market.

Great sign by Portland, Miller is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. However, I can't help but feel that the Blazers are the Rays of the NBA
which, of course, makes me hate their guts. Even their fans are just as obnoxious as Tampa fans.

Portland now has ridiculous depth at the PG and SG. Brandon Roy, Jerred Bayless, Rudy Fernandez, Steve Blake and now Andre Miller. I think what they really
needed was a SF (Hedo), Batum or Outlaw I dont think are quality starters at that position. Also regarding Rubio a spanish newspaper said he is going to sign a
two year deal with Real Madrid if his team sells him to Real. Joventuts president said he doesnt know anything about that offer. Link. Also Latavious Williams who committed to Memphis is going to play abroad, becoming
only the third player to do so. He would have been a Freshman in college this fall.

While I don't like Outlaw, he's a good defender. And I think Roy can play some SF as well, with Fernandez in as a SG. Miller, Fernandez, Roy, Aldridge
and Oden is a VERY sexy line-up if they can all stay healthy.

The Hornets are set to acquire Emeka Okafor from Charlotte for Tyson Chandler. Very good deal for the Hornets as they get a better player in Okafor and give up
an injury prone Chandler.

I do not understand this deal at all. They are the same age, and while Okafor is more expensive I believe, he can be Charlotte's franchise player. He is a
better defensive player than Chandler. I LOVE this deal for the Hornets, as they get another impact player, who I think will go very well with Paul. In my
mind, this shoots them up the Western Conference Power Rankings.

Charlotte wants flexibility. That's all it comes down to. Chandler expires well before Okafor and that's probably the reason they made this deal.

Charlotte just gets a 2010 contract which will allow them to go after a guy like Bosh or Amare to be the teams future. Now whether they will be able to get a
guy like bosh or Amare is a diffirent question. It certainly is a gamble but after the teams best season this past year I think they intend to follow up and
have another great season, get in the playoffs and then make a run at a major FA That can be their franchise playerof the future.
