Just a quick heads up that we're adding a Ground Rule about signatures. It's just fine for people to put whatever they want in their sigs still, as long as it's within the existing ground rules, so don't worry there. However, when people have signatures that aren't easily discernible from the rest of their post, it can be very, very annoying.
So all we're requesting is that people add some kind of formatting to their signature that makes it obvious that it's just their sig. You can do this in a number of ways - italicizing, shrinking the font, putting a line of dashes above it, and others I can't think of. I suggest shrinking it at least - keeps your sig from taking attention away from your post. For example, here's how mine is formatted:
"I suppose we could discuss Aaron Bates' projectability despite the Lancaster Effect over crumpets and tea." - The Dude
"WTF? I thought Temple was black..." - southernredsoxality
If you want to add a sig and don't know how to do it, feel free to drop me a pm. Quickly, you go to "My Control Center" in the top left corner of the board, go to "Account Preferences" on the top of that page, and then type your new sig into the appropriate (and too small) box on that page.
Thanks everyone, and happy posting.
EDIT: Just wanted to add that this is not in response to any particular poster or posters. Just a general observation that led to a new ground rule, so I hope nobody takes offense.
