For Almanzar to get called up he would either have to go straight to Greenville or WMB would have to get called up which I do not think he is deserving of. It
would be very hard to find a way to move Almanzar up, and still have him play a pretty flawless (so far) Third-Base.

He could just split time between 3B and DH in Lowell. It's not really going to hinder either of their development.

Just confirmed Neuman to Lowell and CFO to Greenville. First post updated. I'd like to toot my own horn and point out that I pulled the latter out of my
arse this morning.
Navarro's got to be going to Lancaster, otherwise Greenville is +1 and Lancaster is -1 by my count. He also would step right in at SS. And he was out of the lineup last night with Mike Jones. It makes too much sense not to happen, and the first post has been updated to reflect that.

Amalie Benjamin gave soxprospects a mention in the Extra
Bases blog:
But, as has been reported on some web sites, like soxprospects.com, outfielder Josh Reddick is not among the promotions. |

Do we have any confirmation one way or the other on Reddick? They should do this every year just to keep us occupied during the break
Edit: Thanks TNS guess it was too much to hope for

I think she's crediting soxprospects.com for being correct in reporting that Reddick, unlike what was previously reported in other publication, is actually
NOT among the players who received promotions.
Also from the article: Also, Yamaico Navarro is heading to Lancaster from Greenville, as is Mike Jones.

She is saying we were wrong, but I am not sure where that comes from. It was talked about but I dont think anyone confirmed it. |

We didn't report that Reddick was promoted. If we did we'd have put it in the news blog...and we didn't. One poster here thought that he might
have been promoted but that's as far as it went.

PatsfanKb wrote: No, she isn't. Or at the very least, you cannot definitively say that she is claiming we were wrong. Check out the syntax of the sentence: But, as has been reported on some web sites, like soxprospects.com, outfielder Josh Reddick is not among the promotions. If she was trying to express that soxprospects was wrong, then she would have said something more along the lines of "unlike what was reported on soxprospects.com, etc." Instead, she prefaced her mention of the site with the phrase "as has been reported," which is more often an indicator of her crediting the site for having been correct. In any even, this is a petty argument so you may as well just admit that I'm right and move on.

Actually I had a note on Reddick on the home page that there was an uncomfirmed rumor about his promotion. I specifically noted that it was not confirmed.
Either way, it was wrong.

Updated the first post with the final body count. 10 players in all switching locales. I can't remember a day with this many guys switching places before.
Guess that's what happens when everyone gets the day off.

I don't really care. As he said, any publicity is good publicity. But you absolutely have the wrong interpretation of her intention (even if you are
correct about the syntaxt). She's saying we were the ones who falsely reported his promotion. There's nobody else even discussing this, just us.

I have no problem with what she wrote. She changed it to say we reported it was a rumor, we wrote on the site that it was a rumor, that's how it is.
"But, as has been rumored on some web sites, like soxprospects.com, outfielder Josh Reddick is not among the promotions." |

Good. This version is accurate and it's publicity.

No, the sentence structure is still bad. Interpreting the quoted statement exactly as written, it says that Soxprospects.com presented a rumor that Josh
Reddick was not among the promotions, and that rumor happened to be correct. If the writer wanted to say that soxprospects had an incorrect rumor, she should
have written something like "But, contrary to rumors on some web sites, like soxprospects.com, OF Josh Reddick is not among the promotions."
