Actually, the Sox can't pay for these guys to come to fenway, otherwise the players lose their amateur status. So, we know the guys paid their own way,
suggesting that they're at least willing to invest something in the visit.

Well we know they look good in uniform for when they sign.
Boston doesn't deserve me.

Very nice, Temple.
Do I see the name "Miller" just over Marquis's left shoulder?

Killen or Miller. We took a Killen in the 43rd round. Also, Chris, can you take the picture in your post down. I'm going to take the one down from my post
in 10 minutes. Just wanted people to get an idea about what went on.

Ryan Westmoreland had a game to remember as he blasted three home runs and a double, knocked in seven runs and scored three.Link

The picture is gone. I posted it for 20 minutes last night, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving it up longer than that.

So if (and it's no given) the Sox lockup the attendees of the "Classic" as well as the remaining Top 10 . . . is that enough to make this a
successful draft? Or do we need someone from the Cooper/Humphries/Meyer/Oropesa/Miller group?

If we sign the group that was at Fenway it will be a pretty good haul.
Boston doesn't deserve me.

I know the question was meant as a hypothetical, but it would be disappointing if we didn't sign any of the Oropesa, Meyer, Lally, Flynn, and/or Gibson
group. Wasn't there "chatter" that we were close with Oropesa a while ago?

We have to get at least a few of those guys. It doesn't sound like we broke the bank by any means on the international front. It'll be extremely
disappointing if we don't get one or two of those guys, but I can't really see that happening.

I think people are taking the wrong approach if they are talking about who we don't sign as opposed to who we do. The Red Sox draft a lot of tough signs
KNOWING they won't sign many of them. If we sign all of the top ten, as well as Marquis, Miller, Desclafani, Cooper, Wilson, Stroup, et al. that would be a
tremendous haul.

Kelly is at the game, per NESN. Short interview. Negotiations haven't started yet, apparently. Did say he thinks highly of the organization though. Says he
leaning towards baseball. Good news.
