Following the Sea Dogs on line, looking at the recap, not listening to play by play. Aaron Bates hit a triple and then had to leave the game with an injured
leg. Anyone out there in Maine listening to the game who can shed more light on whether it is a pulled muscle or something else or how bad it might be?

Middlebrooks with 3K's tonight along with 2 last night thats 5K's in 7AB's. I sure hope we don't have another Place on our hands(MAJOR
project). I was under the impression he had a good swing and good bat speed. It will be interesting to get some firsthand reports on how he looks

Bates appeared to have a lower leg injury after sliding into third. He was helped off the field by Beyeler and another player or coach, then left the park in
between innings by motorized vehicle.

To be honest, both highly touted kids are disappointing. I know it's too early to decide. But they are playing in the short season not in the Low-A. For
the first pro full season, Lars held his own in Low-A, Place played in Low-A even though he struggled a lot, and Kalish was outstanding in the short season.
Hopefully both Middlebrooks and Rent come back nicely and prove that I am wrong.
