Rookie Posts: 20 06/15/08 6:51 PM	My man Trot Nixon has a good first major league game of the year for the Mets in the day game, going 2/3 with a double, 2 BB, and a run scored. Edit: HA! Tack a SB on there too, quite a season debut. Not playing tonight against old friend Kason Gabbard, but hopefully he can get some playing time against righties. Veteran Member Posts: 1530 06/16/08 1:57 PM	Reports are that Wang's season is in jeopardy because of his foot injury yesterday (NYTimes speculates that it's a Lisfranc injury) and that the Yankees are looking at Sabathia. Don't see what they could trade for him, but this is about the worst injury the Yankees could have endured.

Moderator Veteran Member Posts: 12475 06/16/08 3:25 PM Moderator	RHP Chien-Ming Wang was examined today at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Medical Center by Yankees Team Physician, Dr. Stuart Hershon and Dr. Jason Greisberg, Foot and Ankle Specialist. Imaging studies revealed a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot. Wang will be on crutches and wear a protective boot for a minimum of six weeks. This is devastating news for the Yankees, who could be without their ace pitcher for the remainder of the season and now are sure to be in the market for a starting pitcher at the July 31 trade deadline.
