Approximately 5:40 left in the 4th quarter, Posey with the ball in transition, Kobe the only defender back, and "the second coming of MJ" plays bullfighter and ole's out of Posey's way instead of manning up and playing any semblance of defense. Gutless. |

As great as it is to see them win it, the real kicker for me was how the Celts just kept stepping on the Lakers' throats. Rainin down 3's and playing
killer defense right to the end. An Utterly embarrasing ass-kicking, that was so sweet.

Totally worth every time they drafted Michael Smith, Acie Earl and Darren Morningstar. The only way this coulda been better would have been if Sherman Douglas and John Bagley were on the court.

And how sweet is it that Pierce--who has been here through so much of this shit--gets the MVP?! Just an unreal performance tonight by the whole Celtics roster (even Scal helped...by holding up the championship trophy at the end).
Lugo is a walking poster child for late term abortions. I know he's in the 95th trimester or whatever but he should be the loophole to the law. mahalo

What happend to me? Have I joined the Fellowship of the Miserable?!?!?!?
I'm just 2 days removed from the greatest sports experience of my life. I've been "rewarded" for staying loyal to this team regardless of their performance. Yet, somehow, I find myself a little miffed at Paul Pierce right now. During the post game interviews, he made comments about "getting ME some players to play with" and now, today, while all other players are wearing Championship T-Shirts (with characatures of the entire team) he wears a shirt that just says TRUTH on it. I need to stop this and just enjoy, I know. I know. |

I really don't think it's reasonable to take anything said by a player during the post game interviews seriously--particularly after winning the
championship. Most of the time players are speaking 5% from their brain and 95% from emotion.
If it makes you feel better, Pierce had 18 assists in the last 2 NBA finals games. He also passed up several open shots and deferred to his teammates on several occasions in the clincher. I don't think he's anything even close to a selfish player...at least not in comparison to the guy he guarded throughout much of the Lakers series.

Post-game, I agree but that it carried over to the parade seemed odd.
I don't question is in-game attitude either. The whole thing just struck me the wrong way. I'm over it. Back to basking. |
