I don't know about speed but he does throw it, I think the looking K was with the fastball. Before the game Lowell's manager, Gary DiSarcina, in an
interview said he threw a breaking ball, a change up and the fast ball the announcer did mention a slider but he wasn't confident because he said "I
think that was the slider" on one of the Ks. Gary DiSarcina also rightfully predicted that if Huntzinger threw strikes he would be ok.
Boston doesn't deserve me.

The SP write-up says that he could add some muscle so maybe he could see a tick or two improvement on his velocity but it also reads that its straight. I worry a little bit about a HS pitcher with average velocity and movement on his fastball. One or the other I'm cool with, especially with his other attributes. Hopefully we get positive scouting reports from the game because I was pretty psyched about finding a polished HS arm in the third round last year but that was under the assumption that his stuff would be at least slightly above average that would get played up by his pitchability. mahalo ~Chach~

Cem and I will have some updated scouting reports from today's game, but probably not until tomorow because of the Celtics game tonight.

And Zink's night is over...three straight singles led to one run in the 6th, but other than that he was damn near untouchable: 7 innings, 4 H, 0 BB, 1 ER,
2 K, and maybe most impressive (especially for a knuckleballer) 64 strikes on 88 pitches. I just did a quick scan through Wakefields logs and
found just three games since the start of 2007 (45 starts) with a strike/ball ratio as good as Zink's this evening.
