Kris Johnson has been pitching very well. 2-0 and no ER in last 3 starts. He's only 23. A lefty.
He seems to be progressing nicely.

The Portland game begins at 11:05am.

Bell, Pinckney and Hall sit. Bell is hurt. Pinckney DH'ed on the 11th and did not play yesterday, so he may also be hurt. Hall is presumably getting a day off, especially as he is not hitting. Stanley gets his first AA start.

Jose Tabata is 6/14 (.429) against Portland and 24/116 (.207) against everyone else.

2-2, mid 4th

Daeges has a single and four walks. Since his return on May 3, his numbers have been astounding.

(through 5 ABs 5/14) 15/30, 2-2B, 2/19 K/BB

EDIT: Error by Iggy leads to three unearned runs. Now 5-2, end 4th

EDIT #2: Not quite a game for the ages (similar to the last KJ start in Trenton). The teams have scored 13 runs and three are earned. There are six errors between the teams, a pickoff and two outfield assists. Sea Dogs have roared back to take a 7-6 lead, mid 8th.

EDIT #3: Three more runs for the Sea Dogs in the 9th (two earned). Sea Dogs have walked 11 times today (four by Daeges and three by Otness).

81 XBH last year, and 423 OBP , 82BB vs 97Ks. So pretty close to that XBH and BB > Ks performance.
This year 25 BB to 9 Ks for a 517 OBP damn!

Nearly as many bases from walks as from hitting (25 vs 27). Power hasn't followed him from Lancaster yet this year but those on base skills are impressive. Be interesting if he gets some mentions on some prospect watch sites etc soon, even with the limited power he's got nearly as many XBH as Ks (5 to 9) and 2.77 BB to K ratio is a joke.

He's walked every game in the last 10 except one and has 18 total in those 10 games (vs 2 ks), in the exception he went 4/5. 711 OBP for the last 10? Hot sheet material no?
