			<description><![CDATA[ He hit pretty well in leadoff during the 07 playoffs and the beginning of 08. I like Dustin at leadoff because the season the Sox won in 07 he hit leadoff for
when the team was at its best. I recall it was Jacoby Ellsbury the who went 0-14 in the first three games of the ALCS last year hitting leadoff. Jacoby does
better lower in the order. Dustin historically does better leading off. In my opinion dont mess with that. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve always thought the leadoff spot was overrated.  It happens once a game.  Neither Ellsbury or Pedroia are very good leadoff batters though.

Pedroia- .333 OBP in 215 career leadoff at-bats

Ellsbury- .328 OBP in 553 career leadoff at-bats

Pedroia is much better at getting on base, but he doesn&#39;t care for the spot in the lineup regardless of what he may say and performs much better in the
2-hole.  A lot of  lineups, especially with the Sox, is putting guys... ]]></description>
