I wasn't expecting him to make our roster I just thought it was interesting because he was such a highly drafted and hyped player coming out of college.

Yeah, I wouldn't look into that too much personally. He's going to have to beat out one of Hudson, Walker, and Giddens for a spot on the 15 man roster, and I don't see that happening at all.

First preseason game last night... I know it doesn't matter but the guys looked pretty good.

Garnett played his few minutes, was dropping his 20 footer like it wasn't anything. He looked slower, but that speed should come back in time.

Perkins is a lot slimmer and looked much quicker and made a few great plays defensively early, which is a terrific sign, because I believe this guy is one of the most overlooked and under appreciated guys in the entire league.

Free agent Marquis Daniels has signed with the Celtics, who are expected to make an announcement today, according to a league source.

Daniels will earn a one-year biannual exception contract worth $1.99 million. The Celtics had attempted to increase Daniels' salary with a sign and trade deal.

Big Baby reportedly will re-sign for 2 more years. I LOVE how this frontcourt is shaping out.

Still would be nice to find a legitimate backup PG, though.

Im starting to get pessimistic about the Daniel's sign and trade. The Indianapolis Star is reporting that there has been little progress made between the two team. The pacers are not interested in Tony Allen.

I'm a little confused by this move, seems a lot like Big Baby (undersized PF) but all indications point to the fact that no one is gonna offer Baby a contract we can't match.

Daniels, expected to be used as a backup for Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds last season for Indiana. The Pacers declined to exercise their option on Daniels, which would have been worth $7.3 million next...

I think they may bring Pruitt back. There isn't anyone intriguing right now at that spot. Maybe in March they will get someone off the heap.

Both Moon and Barnes would be intriguing. Where does the team now go to fill its backup PG spot? I don't think Pruitt would be able to fill in...
